what exactly is all this?

It naturally sets a tone of fun + play + safety that is not readily attainable the industry.
Thereby creating a feedback loop into the stream of newcomers. This enables long term growth for the industry at large by granting significant beginner conversion.

A skier skipping ski school never consider the ramifications because of the false sense of confidence and personality of the other well intention skier who believes that they can teach them because of the false sense given by the trail rating system. “Oh, I ski expert trails, therefore I am an expert
And what is an EXPERT ???
Someone who has authority to teach.
These skiers are not assisted by PSIA staff nor given safety protocols by ski patrol (who are basically there to rope trails + collect bodies)These skiers are lost and not accounted for in any sort of relevant data studies for the industry. It's a major failure of the MSI.
